Salvation Not Reward for Man Taking "Steps" Of Repetance, Confession, or Baptism
"We have seen that Baptism is the final step (after Repentance
and Confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior) in the
process of obedience that brings us under the provisions of
the New Covenant in Jesus' blood."

Exodus 20:26 Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine
altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon.
Repentance, Confession, and Baptism are not a series of steps
the unregenerate must take, in order to climb some stairs of
salvation. They are necessary fruits, but not terms of saving
faith.

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself
up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every
thought to make it obedient to Christ. †2 Corinthians 10:5
Christ died for our sins, and God raised Him from the dead.
Rely on this work alone to escape hell and receive eternal
life (Jn. 3:16; 1 Cor. 15:1-3; Eph. 2:8-10; 2 Thess. 1:8-9).
